Class A Asbestos Removal
Class A, or friable asbestos, is asbestos that can easily be crushed into powder by hand, making it particularly hazardous. It's commonly found in materials like old popcorn ceilings, vinyl flooring, and fireplace door ropes in homes and businesses across New Zealand.
Fibre Busters specialises in Class A asbestos removal, a complex process requiring an enclosed environment with negative pressure units to contain asbestos and filter the air. Throughout the removal, an independent asbestos consultant inspects the area, ensuring no leaks, breaches, or asbestos fibres remain. They monitor the site before, during, and after removal, conducting air quality tests and surface inspections to confirm that the area is completely safe and free of asbestos.
Class B Asbestos Removal
Class B Asbestos refers to non-friable asbestos, which is bound in a solid matrix and not easily crumbled by hand pressure. This type of asbestos is commonly found in materials such as cement sheets, vinyl floor tiles, and textured wall coatings. While Class B Asbestos is considered less hazardous than Class A, it still poses significant health risks if disturbed during renovations or demolitions.
